The TDI Cavern Diver course is the starting point and your introduction into the world of overhead environments diving. Here in Mexico, we have the best the world offers in Cavern and Cave Diving in the Cenotes.
The Cavern Diver course is for certified divers who enjoy diving in Caverns safely within the daylight zone. Also, for those who want to go on to the TDI Intro to Cave and Full Cave Diver levels.
It enables you to dive safely into the cave’s daylight area, within 60 meters of the entrance. During the course, you will be learning the basics of diving in overhead environments and training all the skills necessary for cave diving, from communication, propulsion, and position to planning, team dynamics, emergency protocols, and more.
The TDI Cavern Diver program aims to develop the skills necessary for Overhead Environment Diving within the limits of natural sunlight and a short distance from the exit. It is the first step towards a TDI Full Cave Diver’s certification. During this course, you develop the mindset, techniques, and theoretical knowledge to safely conduct cavern dives by learning and practicing proper dive planning, gas management, and more advanced diving methods appropriate for Cavern and Cave conservation.
