TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver

The TDI Advanced Nitrox Course teaches how to use enriched air nitrox mixes from EAN 21 through 100% O2 to a maximum depth of 40 metres/130 feet during no decompression dives. It is often taught in conjunction with the TDI Decompression Procedures course as they go hand in hand in more advanced technical diving applications. This is the foundation of your technical diving career, furthermore, the TDI Advanced Nitrox is also a must for SCR or CCR divers.

This Technical Diving International (T.D.I.), Advanced Nitrox course helps develop the mindset and necessary practical skills to optimize the use of Nitrox mixtures for extended no decompression limit and to prepare for decompression diving with accelerated decompression and added conservatism.

The TDI Advanced Nitrox course expands the understanding of Nitrox and introduces new knowledge and skills required for the use of Nitrox mixtures containing more than 40% oxygen.  As a result, divers are prepared to continue their further diving education into the TDI Decompression Procedures, Extended Range and Trimix Diving courses.

This course takes an in depth look at physics and physiology relating to diving with high oxygen content gas mixes, dive planning, gas requirements and dive tables. Also, we take a look at dive computers, oxygen limitations, Nitrogen limitations and equipment considerations. in addition to cylinder labeling, Nitrox mixtures analysis, gas blending procedures and finally, oxygen service ratings for using gases with more than 40% O2.

The use of Oxygen and Nitrox is critical to advanced applications in diving. This course will provide you with the knowledge and understanding of the risks and benefits associated with these gases so you can make your own informed choices about the best breathing gases for your planned dives.
