Dream Gate, the name says it all…. Part of the Sac Aktun system, this is probably one of the most decorated Cenotes in the Riviera Maya. A truly breathtaking experience. The BBC used this location for their Planet Earth Documentary “Caves” and Natural World Documentary “Secrets of the Maya Underworld”.
Located about 10 minutes north of Tulum and a couple minutes south of Cenote Dos Ojos, 4 kms into the jungle on a dirt road.
There are two Cavern Lines in Dream Gate. Take your time so you can enjoy all the details of this incredible dive. The formations are like delicate icicles and extremely fragile. Even your exhaust bubbles can cause irreparable damage, so it is imperative to stay close to the guide line.
This is one of the Cenotes with the most amount of stalactite and stalagmite in the Riviera Maya! Filled with delicate speleothems and large amounts of silt, divers must have excellent buoyancy control to dive this Cenote and is at the discretion of the Dive Guide.
