TDI Sidemount Instructor Course in Playa del Carmen

Go beyond diving sidemount. Learn how to teach it with

the precision, and judgment expected from a TDI professional.

Move from diving sidemount to teaching it with precision, control, and professional judgment.

The TDI Sidemount Instructor Course at Divers UnderGround is designed for qualified dive professionals who want to teach certified divers how to safely use side-mounted primary cylinders as an alternative to the traditional back-mounted configuration.

This is not only an equipment course. At the instructor level, sidemount training becomes a teaching discipline: equipment setup, cylinder handling, gas management, trim, buoyancy, propulsion, problem-solving, student control, and safe course delivery must all come together.

Train in Playa del Carmen with a team that works daily with sidemount configuration in cenotes, overhead environments, and technical diving pathways.

Plus

The TDI Sidemount Instructor Course

The TDI Sidemount Instructor Course trains qualified instructors to teach certified divers how to safely use a sidemount equipment configuration.

Upon successful completion, you may teach sidemount diving within the scope of your TDI rating, personal qualifications, and training experience.

At Divers UnderGround, this course is taught as a professional development program. The focus is not only on performing sidemount skills, but also on learning to teach them clearly, evaluate students accurately, and manage training dives with sound judgment.

Teach Sidemount With More Than Personal Experience

Many divers enjoy sidemount because it can offer flexibility, streamlining, access to different cylinder configurations, and improved equipment management when used correctly.

But teaching sidemount requires more than diving it well.

A sidemount instructor must be able to explain equipment choices, correct poor trim, identify gas-management problems, demonstrate skills cleanly, manage student stress, and maintain control of the training environment.

This course helps you move from “I dive sidemount” to “I can teach sidemount efficiently.”
