Have you ever wonder what it would be like to scuba dive with bull sharks? Join us in some amazing dives this coming season.
Bull shark (Carcharhinus leucas), or Zambezi shark, is a species of shark of the genus Carcharhinus.
The shark grows up to 11.5 feet (3.5 meters) in length but the most common ones are around 7.3-7.8 feet (2.2-2.3 meters) long. They can be found in tropical coastal waters all around the world, as well as river systems and lakes.
Let’s jump into the water and go scuba diving with bull sharks. Playa del Carmen has become a popular destination for divers looking to dive with bull sharks. The sharks are usually in the area from December to March.
Most of the sharks we find are pregnant females between 1.5 to 2 meters in length and a few juveniles.
Also, the best place to find them is at around 25 meters of depth which gives us roughly 25 minutes’ bottom time when using air as bottom gas. We can increase the dive time by the use of Nitrox.
